Home-made chai latte
3 spoonfuls of strong black tea
1/2 a tsp. ground cardamom
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 a cinnamon stick
1/2 a tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. honey to sweeten, and a splash of milk
200 ml milk
Place approx. 0.75 litres of water into a tea and water kettle and heat to 80 °C. While it is heating, place the black tea in the tea sieve.
Then place the tea in the heated water and allow to brew for 3-5 minutes. Remove the sieve, add the spices, leave the tea to infuse for approx. 10 minutes and then pour it into suitable glasses through a sieve.
Froth the milk in the milk frother. Now add a splash of milk and honey to sweeten, fill up the glasses with milk froth and serve immediately.
