Realignment of the MDA product group - Angel and Hahne début as new management team in the cooling division

Sundern, April 2018 – SEVERIN is expanding its expertise in the cooling and freezing category by bringing two experts from the Amica Gruppe to Sundern. Tamás Angel (general management & purchasing) and Andreas Hahne (sales Germany) will be restructuring the MDA product group, guaranteeing an optimum, intensive service within the Medium Domestic Appliances (MDA) category.
In future, the segments Coffee, BBQ & Fun Food, Microwaves, Refrigerating & Freezing and Floorcare will be SEVERIN’s five focus categories. With the expansion of the MDA product group, the company is fulfilling its growth strategy objectives and guaranteeing the comprehensive handling of this category by the new additions Tamás Angel and Andreas Hahne.

Due to his years of experience at the Amica Group, Tamás Angel is highly qualified for his new position as the director of the MDA product group: his references include both the Chinese purchasing market and the long-term management of the Amica Group representative office in Guangzhou (China). A special milestone that distinguished him for his new position at SEVERIN is the expansion of Asian imports for the German branch office of the Amica Group, and his prominent role in the organisation of the group purchasing process on the part of “Far East Import”.

Andreas Hahne, newly responsible at SEVERIN for the sales MDA division, enriching the company not only with his 22 years of experience in the set-up, development and control of internal and field sales teams in both international company groups and medium-sized, owner-managed companies, but also with his comprehensive management skills: he was last employed at Amica International GmbH as Head of Sales and therefore has wide-ranging contacts and access to all MDA distribution channels in Germany.

“We are happy to establish the MDA category (currently part of the cooling division) at SEVERIN and clearly position our fourth focus category with these two industry experts,” says Christian Strebl, Managing Director of SEVERIN's own brand business.

Tamás Angel will head up the category with prime responsibility, while Andreas Hahne will assume responsibility for sales in conjunction with the existing sales team. The initial results will be presented at the IFA.
