White foam forms in the boiling chamber of my egg boiler during the cooking process.

The boiling chamber is soiled. The egg’s inner air cell must be pierced so that no egg white can escape during the boiling process. This air cell is located between the white and shell at the large end of the egg. The egg piercer is located underneath the measuring cup. The entire boiling chamber must be cleaned before the appliance is used again.

The degree of browning is uneven when my four-slice toaster only contains two slices of toast.

The toaster’s browning function is designed for maximum use. If only two slices are toasted in a four-slice toaster, for example, each one should be placed in a single slot facing the other one in order to achieve even browning.

Not all the heating filaments in my toaster are visibly glowing.

The heating filaments may be nearer or further away from the substrate and glow more or less intensively as a result. The heating function is not defective, as the toaster contains a series circuit of heating plates and filaments.

A slice of bread has become trapped in my toaster.

Remove the power plug and release the slice of bread using a blunt wooden stick (e.g. a brush handle). Avoid touching the heating filaments in the process.

Can I use my toaster to warm plates?

No. The slots should never be covered. You should also never use the roll attachment to warm up large items, as this may result in an accumulation of heat and, in the worst-case scenario, in damage to the appliance.

Check whether your appliance’s power cable is attached properly.

What sort of milk should I use in my yoghurt maker?

In principle, all types of milk can be used. Homogenised milk (UHT milk) is best, however. All other types of milk should be heated briefly to around 90 °C (just below boiling point) and then cooled down to 40 °C.

In some jars, the yoghurt produced by my yoghurt maker is very runny, while the yoghurt in others is firmer, despite being made from the same ingredients. How is this possible?

It is important that the jars are not contaminated with bacteria after having been thoroughly cleaned and dried. After cleaning, avoid placing your hands in the jars and close them immediately using the lids, which should also have been thoroughly cleaned and dried.

How high is the temperature used in my yoghurt maker?

Approx. 40-45 °C. The temperature of the yoghurt also depends on the initial temperature of the milk and the preparation time. If cold milk is used, this is 8-9 hours, and if warm milk is used, 5-6 hours.

The coating in my egg boiler is coming off.
