What is the best way to clean my hand blender?

The drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. The beater attachments and kneading hooks can be cleaned with hot soapy water.

What type of container or bowl is suitable for use with a blender?

Any type of bowl, pot or glass is suitable as long as they are scratch-resistant and the attachments can rotate freely inside the container and are not blocked during operation.
